My intention is to transform the mostly labor-intensive drawings that I make using the screen printing technique into a sustainable and affordable product. In this way I try to make my work available to a wide audience. A favorable side effect of the choice for this technique is that there is a perfect balance between the fine concentration during drawing and the hard work of screen printing.

In the images I make I look for the tension between reality and the drawn. The old Rotterdam metro, the streets of Rotterdam West, figures on the street. Recognizable, everyday observations. The living world of the artist, without wanting to make this world more beautiful than it really is.
