Sil Krol (1986) is a multidisciplinary visual artist who works with the visual language and meanings of public space. He positions his spatial works in the middle of the public domain, both literally in the outer space and in public inner spaces. The spatial work consists of temporary, spontaneous interventions, site-specific installations and monumental sculptures. He uses wood, concrete, steel and recently also ceramics. His working method is characterized by carefulness, both in the approach to the context for which he makes work, and in his use of materials.

For Krol, public space is a metaphor for the malleability of our complex society and apparent alienation from nature. An interesting paradox is emerging: the design of the public space conducts socially desirable behaviors through design and design. This creates order and security and gives shape to political will and democratization. On the other hand, you can consider public space as an open game
