In her work, Susanne de Kraker creates a dreamy atmosphere, in which nature is an inexhaustible source of inspiration. She wants to convey her wonder for nature to others by means of prints. In addition to illustrations, she makes free work, where the graphic techniques are her preference. Susanne likes the labor-intensive process of graphics. Because of the repetition of the actions and the concentration that it requires, she can be completely absorbed in the work.
After her Illustration training at the Willem de Kooning Academy, Susanne followed the teacher training in Visual Arts and Design. She graduated in 2015 and has enjoyed working as an artist and art teacher ever since.
