I wonder. When I look around I see so many things that surprise me, that leave me behind in wonderment. I wonder about all kind of things, like a blade of grass that rises from between the pavement, a bird that flies, how a human being expresses emotions, how leaves move in the wind, and so on. My work finds its origin in the ordinary. I am inspired by the beauty of everyday life, and I like to make others aware of what is usually unnoticed.
I study a phenomenon in detail, to see what exactly takes place. Then I explore alternative ways to visualize this part of reality as something extraordinary. When I have developed a fulfilling technical concept, I explore how it can be applied to tell a story that relates to, and finds its origin in the context of the location.
