Register as a visual artist

For who?

Professional visual artists with an autonomous professional practice who live and work within the municipality of Rotterdam (consisting of sub-areas: Centrum, Noord, Overschie, Hillegersberg-Schiebroek, Prins Alexander, Kralingen-Crooswijk, Delfshaven, Feijenoord, Charlois, IJsselmonde, Pernis, Hoogvliet, Rozenburg and Hook of Holland). Unfortunately, it is no longer possible to register if you live in a neighboring municipality. This is due to budgetary and formal reasons that we must comply with. All applications are assessed for professionalism. This is understood to mean: working as an autonomous visual artist (individually or in groups) and a demonstrable current professional practice (presentations, exhibitions, residencies and the like). For artists with an interdisciplinary professional practice (for example design, illustration, design, architecture, music), the visual input is particularly weighted.

Starters
Visual artists who graduated no more than three years ago from a recognized Dutch art academy in an autonomous direction can be provisionally enrolled for a period of three years from their graduation date with their diploma and a completed online registration form. They are then assessed on their professionalism.

You can register at any time. You will receive the result within two months.
