new directions - new directions book 2022 print 260 x 225 mm marina’s role: graphic design new directions considers how walking is a method for research in design. walking as a research method offers a designer slowness, repetition, rhythm, distraction, space, and familiarity. walking is an emerging research method in design: information and landscape designers have used walking as a way to contemplate the surroundings and the self by going alone or with others. there are multiple strategies for using walking as a research method: writing, mapping, filming, image-making, archiving, sensing, speculating, and listening. walking is a research method because it is a way for a designer to question, investigate, and interpret a surrounding as well as exploring and understanding the self. https://marinamp.info/new_directions.html
