A Month-Long Celebration of Clothing, Diversity & Community; supported by Gemeente Rotterdam.

Fashion Faux-Pas marks the first collaboration between Oud House and Stichting Kapish (Squish + Kollection Kitsch). Taking place in the heart of Bospolder-Tussendijken (BoTu), this joyful and experimental cultural program explores how we express ourselves, how we’re seen, and how we relate to one another—through clothing, craft, and care.

At its heart, Fashion Faux-Pas celebrates community creativity, alternative fashion practices, and the many ways appearances shape how we move through the world. Whether it’s a traditional garment, a secondhand remix, or something lovingly handmade, clothing tells stories. It carries memories, politics, and possibilities.

Through playful, critical, and tender works, the program frames clothing as a site of connection, craft, resistance, and reinvention—while questioning how appearance influences our place in public space.

Jan Kobellstraat 78D, 3026 SW Rotterdam

The exhibition free to enter. Besides the opening, all the events are donation-based. Reserve your spot via https://eventix.shop/bqj2qzn8

THE EXHIBITION — 5–27 JULY, Thursday to Sunday 12h–17h
Local artists present works that blur the lines between art, clothing, and care—ranging from hand-stitched textiles and wearable objects to intimate installations, materials of protest, and stories of migration. Playful, personal, and political.

You’ll also find €10 mini artworks in the vending machine and the infamous Oud House vintage shop curated by Yang Bai. One short film is screened in loop daily (then, all short films will be visible only on the screening day). The space is hosted by the artists themselves and Oud House friends, offering room for slow conversation, reflection, and shared presence.

With works by Hand of Fatima (Restore the Narrative), Fabulous Fungi, Farah Sahupala (Pneuma Soma), Kıvanç, Flora Madu, Yokolina, Wilma van der Wilt, Miriam Del Seppia

On July 6th and 18th, local apprentice hairdresser Mary will propose haircuts for 20€. Just walk in and ask for her.
