My name is Alessio and I am a digital artist and design researcher based between Rotterdam (NL) and Venice (IT). As an avid explorer of digital technologies and a natural sciences enthusiast, my practice is located at the intersection of the virtual and physical worlds. My work spans 3D modeling and music production, but also material research to push the boundaries of digital fabrication and storytelling towards unknown lands.

From One to Another brings together two sonic installations exploring the material and sonic properties of inanimate matter, from stainless steel to limestone, in a duo exhibition hosted at KIT space. For this duo exhibition, An Amalgam Loop and FEED ME by Charlie Jansen are brought into direct conversation, their soundscapes exchanging and responding to one another.
Workshop - Media Cartographies: Dal Dato alla Percezione
Media Cartographies is a research and training platform that examines the relationship between data and perception, exploring how digital systems shape the way we understand and represent reality. The project invites artists to develop new multimedia works — installations, performances, audiovisual or immersive experiences — that reinterpret the concept of the map as a dynamic and responsive tool for navigation within the continuous flow of information that shapes our perception of reality.
Exhibition - An Amalgam Loop: Persistent State presented at The New Current 2026
During Rotterdam Art Week 2026, An Amalgam Loop take part in The New Current exhibition, an annual showcase for emerging practitioners in the visual arts. Taking shape in the large spaces of the former Hunter Douglas factory, the installation is presented in a new, more spatial form and equipped with a new recording system that allows the chemical soundscape to be real-time recorded on disc.
Interview - An Amalgam Paradigm
Scientific classification exists to stabilise what matter refuses to be. Alessio Pinton takes this impasse not as a failure but as a generative method. The conversation, centred on Alessio’s publication An Amalgam Paradigm, moves across multiple registers at once: the formation of the Dolomites through the sedimentation of ancient marine organisms, the necessity and limitations of scientific classification, and a publication designed as a form of sedimentation.

Organized by Eternal Terra Ear, the event brought together artists whose practices reimagine art as infrastructural—engaging with decentralized governance, mutual aid, and translocal care to shape future policy imaginaries.

Making Kin is an exhibition that took place during Salone del Mobile 2025 in Milan. Gathering 39 emerging designers and artists, 11 international schools and 5 residency projects, Making Kin was a space to explore new forms of relation, care, and coexistence.
