Aniek de Snoo Meeldijk is a Rotterdam-based designer. She graduated at the Willem de Kooning Academy (WdKA) Rotterdam in 2009 with her shadow tea set Tea time, a beautiful example of Dutch Design. For this design she received an award of the city of Rotterdam.

Shortly after graduating she went to Jingdezhen with the WdKA, the porcelain city of China. In June 2011 she graduated at the Master Visual Arts (Ceramics and Glass Art Department) in Ghent, Belgium.

In the summer of 2012 she participated an artist-in-residency in Medicine Hat (Canada). At the end of 2012 she participated a ten week residency at the Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass Vollage (USA).

Since 2014 Aniek also works on commission. For example in 2014 she designed vases for an hotel. In 2015 she manufactured the work for Karen van der Perre, a design academy student.
Aniek’s work is intuitive and begins with a close observation of the world around her. She likes to combine forms and change them into something new.

At the moment she works parttime as an arts and crafts teacher.
