Davids Danoss is a Latvian multimedia artist based in Rotterdam. He questions the nature of physical and mental reality and human impact on them. In his works, the theme leans towards reality perception and its manipulation. He engages audiences in the visual and aural elements by manipulating the feeling of surroundings, giving a timeless experience. Apart from his art practice, he is founder of creative organisation MINT, with the focus on video productions and art event management.


Time We Sat Still (2022) - A light installation portraying isolation and its sterile environment. With self-confinement comes a lot of mental difficulties, each of us has experienced it differently. Nevertheless we share this feeling of being in unusual surroundings. Part of Light Switch exhibition in IJzerblok, supported by CBK Rotterdam. Exhibited in FOK Wine Bar in Coolhaveneiland.
Reflections (2021) - Multichannel audiovisual installation as part of the opening of various performance programme "Track: Reflections". Visual expression by Stacy Ann towards black womanhood and its struggles in society. Portraying statement of self empowerment and change for better. Video production by Davids Danoss in collaboration with Stacy Ann. Installation presented in Theater Rotterdam.
Perpetual Motion (2020) - 4-channel audiovisual installation (collaboration with Hyunji Jung) explores the cosmic law of human consciousness and nature force by means of physical motion in audio and vision. Human being is part of nature as a whole body. The spatialisation and movement of the sound, the captured nature force in video projection enhance the physicality of being in the moment. Presented in WORM Rotterdam.

Reality Check (2019) - A short film trailer for an art event Reality Check that I organised with my collective MINT Podium. Reality of humans, designed to be part of the system. Individuals as the small gear of the "9 to 5", for keeping the big wheel in motion.
Tellus Now (2019) - A video installation showcasing visual adaptation of nature as a woman and her wisdom and strength towards humanity. Reflecting her as our maker and the taker as well. Presented in Willem de Kooning Academy graduation show.
Horizone (2018) - An experimental short film capturing a delusional man in the changing world. Screened in Theater Rotterdam.
