Dico Kruijsse

artistiek onderzoek - conceptueel - experimenteel

The work of Dico Kruijsse can be seen as a quest to find the hidden qualities of objects, material and everyday events. He communicates his view on the world through a plurality of media. “In a society where we have to deal with a huge amount of images on a daily basis, it may seem new to be confronted with art works that do not seem to have a direct meaning. The resources that Kruijsse uses in his work are materials that not many people regard aesthetic or important, such as banana peels, free paint samples or plaster boards.”
