My work begins with a curiosity about how we come to live lives that no longer correspond to what we need, want or value. I investigate how social expectations become internalised and shape our relationship to ourselves, and how artistic experiences might help us recover trust in our own perception.
I work with tactile installations, sculpture, performance and participatory methods. My projects emerge through what I call material mindmapping: an embodied process in which materials, movement and making become a way of thinking. Rather than illustrating ideas, the work develops through experimentation until its artistic question and form reveal themselves.
By creating sensory situations that invite touch and physical engagement, I hope to make other ways of relating to ourselves—and to one another—easier to imagine.
