How To Induce A Lucid Dream with Sylvana D’Angelo - If we approach the unconscious as a technology of the mind, what is its interface? In a lucid dream, the dreamer has greater chances to exert some degree of control over their participation within the dream or be able to manipulate their imaginary experiences in the dream environment. In this project, I investigated how technology affects sleep and how the way human beings dream is transformed every time a new technology integrates a big part of the waking life. https://vimeo.com/128082177

The World With A Thousand Eyes - (Current activity) The World With A Thousand Eyes aims to create a ritual where the spectator is encouraged to plunge into a hypnotic musical and visual journey. As the foundation is essentially a basic structure and open to multiplicity, the dive is experienced differently by each individual. Throughout this sensorial activity, the ultimate drive is to tune back in the autonomic nervous system (ANS) activity and to assist with the production of neurotransmitters in the visitor's brain.
Anthropomorphism of Media - Exhibition at Dynamo Arts Association Suite 103 – 30 East 6th Ave, Vancouver, Canada August 26 – Sept 3, 2017 Opening Reception August 25, 7-10pm But if cattle and horses and lions had hands or could paint with their hands and create works such as men do, horses like horses and cattle like cattle also would depict the gods' shapes and make their bodies of such a sort as the form they themselves have. – Xenophanes 4th Century BCE Engaging both traditional and digital platforms the artists experiment with long distance collaboration as a devise to create new visual concepts by examining the way we communicate material ideas. As we attempt to make sense of our surroundings we often attribute human characteristics to mechanized electronics and it is unclear wether attributing such behaviors to technology is logically based on function or wether it is simply a projection of personification. Information technology presents no clear correspondence with any other entities in the world besides humans, therefore interactions with this medium will inherently be in our own image. From this understanding Anthropomorphism of Media presents work that has transformed the intended nature of an application by ascribing new meaning to a commonly understood behavior.

De Wachtkamer - Collaborative sound and vision recurring project with Luke Cohlen. The Waiting Room is a radio art project by Larissa Monteiro and Luke Cohlen. Following a two-fold approach to the music and visual identity of each show, The music of Cohlen is translated by Monteiro into an artwork, or vice versa. Its name is inspired by the waiting room ('red room') of Twin Peaks – a space where perception of emotions and time can rapidly shift in non-linear fashion. Drawing from this, the show's evocative artworks take the shape of an abstracted room, where Monteiro's graphic practice meets her interest in interior design. The musical selection Cohlen is introspective and narrative, tapping into the vast history of ambient and experimental music styles. De Wachtkamer can be regarded as an interplay, emphasizing composition and concept, aligned through the different yet complementary disciplines of its makers. The show first launched in 2017 on Utrecht based internet radio Stranded FM and currently airs every 8 weeks.
