A character in a film or play reveals his or her inner thoughts through movement. In a scene between two people body language is a treasure trove of information. Do they look at each other? Are they standing close? Does the body of one behave differently, at a different pace, to the other? If the movements of the body are right, one needs only half the dialogue that is written.
Our work aims to create a spatial filmic experience without the traditional narrative and use of linear storytelling. There is only light and sound. An abstract rendering of characters. And the people who wander around the exhibited work.

Where Are You I Miss You, is a new installation developed for the gallery space - two interconnected rooms on the bel étage of a nineteenth-century townhouse. An imagined home of a young woman and a young man. Through a four-channel film installation, a sequence of short scenes unfolds across the front and back rooms, offering fragmentary glimpses into their daily lives. Moments of proximity and distance, presence and absence, suggesting the emotional contour of a shared domestic space

Open Call: Figuranten gezocht In november vinden in Marres de opnames plaats voor The House Where We Used To Live van filmmaker Nanouk Leopold en beeldend kunstenaar Daan Emmen (Leopold Emmen). Voor dit nieuwe werk (te zien in 2027 bij Marres) zoeken we figuranten van alle leeftijden. De opnames zijn overdag op woensdag 12 nov 2025 in Marres, Maastricht.
