360° trees
360° trees - 25.5 x 65cm. This landscape drawing depicts an impossible event - a row of windbreak poplar trees in the process of departing from the earth, curling up skyward. It explores both the spectacle of the event and the empty space it leaves behind. The figures perform something utterly extraordinary, yet the image simply carries on beyond it, flatly stretching out the absurdity of the event until it becomes almost matter-of-fact.
