79A - A book, performance and installation about bodies under real estate
79A - A book, performance and installation about bodies under real estate - In July 2024 in the Netherlands, a new law (the Affordable Rent Act), made it so that renting was no longer as profitable for landlords. Many houses started being sold amid the already serious housing crisis. I was made to leave the house at 79A. Our landlord was a company. Before leaving I collected the following samples into small plastic bags: the door number, floor, ceiling, brick dust, terrace gravel, bedroom wall damp, toilet mesh, rain water, washing machine inlet pipe, the stairs handrail, anti-slip stairs tread, ... Alienated from their origin, these samples are now traces of certain rhythms in the house, memories or bridges to a place that lives in our imaginary. In the book I investigate the effects of the real estate market on the body alongside a visual archival of the samples. The body here understood not only as our own bodies but also as the body of the house. Find more at mardrew.art/work/79a
tenho o luxo de escrever poesia todo o dia
tenho o luxo de escrever poesia todo o dia - is an experimental writing project in Portuguese in which I tear up the words I once put into my poems and observe their transformations. I research and explore different methods of ripping text apart and stitching it back together. These explorations include: writing an absurd amount of footnotes, cutting out paragraphs, words, sentences, and syllables, reordering them using different methods, blacking out text, or recycling words from previous poems. eurotour - Roaming Europe's landscapes we weaved melodies impromptu to the public. From July to September, together with Nelson Deus, we embarked on a European tour of improvised music in the street. We played at Lisbon (Portugal), Coimbra (Portugal), Porto (Portugal), Santiago de Compostela (Spain), Bilbao (Spain), Padua (Italy), Vienna (Austria), Maribor (Slovenia), Zadar (Croatia), Split (Croatia), Kotor (Montenegro), Tirana (Albania), Prizren (Kosovo), Peja (Kosovo), Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Turin (Italy) and Annecy (France). Le Dordszine e2 - Taking the parody format of a magazine, le Dordszine, published both online and in paper, observes the absurdities of our quotidian life. CAPUTO
CAPUTO - In this 20 minute theater piece, 12 artists collaborated during 2 weeks. Initially sharing their written experiences to each other on staring 5 minutes into a mirror, all the writings were cut up and blend together. The mix became a poem, where each stance informs a scene.
