My paintings and drawings are characterised by a childlike expressiveness that is hard to put into words. I am driven by a mysterious urge to express my inner world and to orient myself within the all-encompassing reality through painting. I want the world to be softer, more sincere, yet I want my work to embody the complexities of everyday life I often feel overwhelmed by. Perhaps my paintings are an expression of powerlessness, or an attempt to make sense of it all. How do we deal with the endless stream of information we face every day? How do we process all this information? How can we be vulnerable and innocent in a world in transit, constantly adjusting? I'm not necessarily looking for answers to these questions, but it's the ongoing echoes of the questions themselves and the process of formation that keeps inspiring my work.
