Mitsitron is a sound artist and program maker. They have been developing a queer methodology for sound and performance making, caring about how western binaries, politics of technology and heritage influences the ways we listen and voice. Since 2024, with the Platform for Extratonality they have been organizing workshops and performance nights that encourage non-dominant ways for sound making, while engaging with experimentation, DIY/DIWO practices and criticality. Since January 2025, they are members of the collective space Varia in Rotterdam, where they organize events on everyday technology, centering home-brewing practices, access and counter-coloniality in relation to technology. They are currently programming an exhibition for showroom MaMA, focusing on grief as a personal and political transformative process.

(S)low Frequencies @ Extratonal Infrastructure #15
(S)LOW FREQUENCIES is a desire of (delaying) time and (situating) space to explore (in conversation) low frequencies and their impact on bodies and spirits. Through experimentation with a synthetiser, guitar, microphone and comfortable spaces the group is interested in shaping sonic land(scape)s. They approach sound making through soft connecting and slowing down as resistance.

Thanks for Listening
In this perfomance, I position my body as an extension of sound and sound technology. I create voice which gets modulated in controllable and uncontrollable ways. A midi controller which receives data from sonic pi is pitching, stretching and looping the voice that is plugged with, through knobs, faders and buttons. A partial narration, a passive whisper or a shout on having an ανώμαλη, anomalous voice is commented in the beginning of the code and vocalised throughout the performance.
