Ruud Goedhart

Ruud Goedhart focuses on ordinary , unassuming objects and
scripts/wording that don’t clamor for immediate attention but quitly
exist in the background or in the passing by. Whether presenting
them in isolation to let them subtly ‘shine’ or returning them to their
inconspicuous original placement, Goedhart explores the interplay
between abstraction and figuration pushing the boundaries of
painting and object. With the individual works he might compile/
compose painting installations round a special subject or concept.
Within this concept Ruud Goedhart is not bound to the size or edges
of the single painting although each single painting is made to be a
complete work on its own even when it supports an ‘painting
installation’.
