Daily objects things that don't immediately scream for attention , but are seemingly carelessly present, those are the subjects of Ruud Goedhart. He presents them ,as it were, and then lets them 'shine' or puts them back in their original place. At the same time, he test painting on abstraction and figuration and on the boundaries of painting / object . Ruud prefers to work with tempera , decor and wall paint , charcoal and pencil on unprepared linen/canvas and only applies color if it is functional and it fits within the concept. The works are created in series of the same subject, after which he isolates them, combines them or processes them in a 'painting installation'.
