My name is Sigidur Visch. Born and raised in Rotterdam. Discovering the world around me is my biggest form of inspiration. The same streetcorner can give a new perspective everyday. When I find something that draws my interest I do research by making. This way of working works well for me because you never know how the end result will turn out. My curiosity makes me work really hard. I like to discover the fantasy in the real world by making objects.

**Roundabout Camping** - Roundabout Camping (2026) is part of a bigger research project on how legible the combination of orange and silver is in public space. The artist and a friend camped for one night on a roundabout. The tent and all camping equipment are reflective orange with silver details. The objects could, apart from the colour, be found in a regular camping set. Police drove by multiple times without questioning the campsite.

**Authority Suit** - Authority Suit (2026) is a combination of a uniform with social economic authority and a uniform with authority in public space. While walking around in workwear, people in tailor-made suits were suddenly taking the artist seriously because of his uniform. Pictured in a place with a ‘suit only’ dress code.

**Bench-Extensions** - 13 benches extended from 120 cm to 195 cm so it’s possible to sleep on them.

**Parked Playground** - A parkingspot turned into a playground. It was used a lot by the neighbourhood kids before the municipality took it away.

**Self-Powered** - In front of the municipal office there is a pole to charge your electric bike for free, next to it there is a pole where you can take muesli bars for free. To charge if you have to pedal yourself.

In de voormalige koepelgevangenis van Haarlem heb ik een cel als studio ter beschikking gekregen. Hier heb ik volledige vrijheid om te experimenteren. Het uiteindelijke werk zal een interventie in de cel/gevangenis worden. Ik ben nu nog in de onderzoeksfase dus weet nog niet hoe het eindwerk er uit komt te zien.
