Wij, Lucas van der Velden en Gideon Kiers werken samen in het collectief Telcosystems. Met Telcosystems doen we onderzoek naar oude en nieuwe technologieën, ontwikkelen we nieuwe technische toepassingen, en maken we audiovisuele installaties, films, video's, soundtracks, en liveoptredens. In ons werk spelen real-time processen, ‘levende signalen’, en live improvisaties met machines een belangrijke rol.

Untitled - Untitled (2023) is a performance presenting a status update of a long-running research into spatial media. In this site-specific performance, this research manifests through sound and light as a means to explore, interrogate and modulate the architecture of Brutus.
Nuclear Landscapes - Nuclear Landscapes (2021-ongoing) is a long term research project investigating both the historical narratives of nuclear landscapes and their relations to host landscapes, as well as the technological means by which we render the invisible and silent aspects of these landscapes perceptible.
TESTFILM #1 - In TESTFILM #1 Telcosystems explore the creative possibilities of the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) – the new global infrastructure for film projection in cinemas.
Radiance - Radiance (2019-2020) is a research project focussed on ways to make radioactive pollution audible and visible for artistic and experimental purposes and applications.
Testfilm #4 - Testfilm #4 is a projection mapping project presented on the EYE Filmmuseum façade in Amsterdam Jan 25 – 28 and Feb 3 – 10, 2018.
Bini Oculus - Bini Oculus (2017) explores the possibilities of two-eyed vision and 3D cinema.
Machine Visions - Machine Visions (2017) is a research project into machine vision and experimental forms of image interpretation and analysis.

LOUDTHINGS AT EYEFILM - This is Film! Film Heritage in Practice

Loudthings will be screened as part of the public lecture series This is Film! Film Heritage in Practice at Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam on 19 March 2025. Curator, filmmaker, and artist Karl Wratschko will discuss the use of colours in small-gauge cinema, focusing on cameraless filmmaking from the 1970s to today, paired with a screening of experimental short films.

TESTFILM #1 will have its world premiere at the 49th edition of the renowned International Film Festival Rotterdam, held from 22nd Jan to 2nd Feb 2020. TESTFILM #1 will screen on 25th and 26th Jan in the Bright Future Shorts featuring experimental films and audiovisual performances.
