Because of my neurodiversity; Synesthesia, I see the world mainly 'flat', in planes of shape and colour. I create specific paintings and objects of visual shapes and planes that I consciously and unconsciously store from everyday life. My paintings and objects are on the border between recognisable shapes and alienation/abstraction. I want to evoke new and existing associations and interpretations. I use different mediums for this, such as painting, sculptures or an installation. I create things that jump out, stand out in the overwhelming amount of information and specifically address colour, shape or matter. In my work I touch different subjects as spirituality, feminism and autobiographical stories.

**Woven Voices, Stories of Her** - Een installatie en textielonderzoek waarin de stemmen en verhalen van de vrouwen uit mijn familie samenkomen. Door middel van textiele structuren geef ik vorm aan intergenerationele overdracht en ongesproken geschiedenissen. Grootte; 60 x 80 cm, vilt, wol, textiel, zijde - An installation and textile research project in which the voices and stories of the women in my family converge. Through textile structures, I give form to intergenerational transmission and unspoken histories.

Korte documentaire voor AVROTROS Kunst 2025 — **Korte documentaire voor AVROTROS Kunst** - In korte documentaire, gemaakt in samenwerking met AVROTROS en filmmaker Patrice Winfield, deel ik mijn artistieke proces en de diepere lagen van mijn werk. Mijn kunst balanceert tussen schilderkunst en textiel, waarin intuïtie, ambacht en vrouwelijke kracht samenkomen. Deze film biedt een kijkje in mijn creatieve wereld en de betekenis achter mijn werk.

Art & Textile Residency, February 2026 — **Art & Textile Residency Mexico, February 2026** - In February I went to the Art & Textile Residency to learn more about the traditional weaving techniques from Oaxaca region in Mexico. I learned to weave with the pedal loom and created new work which I proceeded working on once I arrived home.

**Fibers of the Feminine** - With Fibers of the Feminine I explored the contemporary relationship with textile crafts and their value in our society. In my family, women have always worked with textiles—both professionally and in the home. My grandmother taught me how to crochet, knit, sew and embroider. This craft knowledge is often undervalued in our fast-paced world. This triptych brings these traditions together in a visual translation, in which I emphasize the value of generational crafts and tell a story about feminism, women and textiles. Year 2024-2025

**Hands of the Ancestors** - Hands of the Ancestors - "Hands of the Ancestors" is een subcategorie en experimentele fase binnen Fibers of the Feminine, waarin ik de erfenis van vrouwelijke voorouders onderzoek. Door middel van textiel geef ik hun verhalen en handwerk een nieuwe betekenis, waarbij ik de technieken en wijsheid die door de generaties heen zijn doorgegeven, integreer in mijn werk. Deze fase onderzoekt hoe ambacht en erfgoed kunnen worden verweven in een hedendaagse context, waarbij ik de kracht van de handen van onze voorgangers tastbaar maak in de draden die ik zelf weef. Jaar 2024- 2025

**Ephemeral Forms** - Ephemeral Forms is een onderzoek naar de grens tussen schilderkunst en keramiek, waarbij mijn geschilderde vormen als wezens uit het doek lijken te breken en tot leven komen in klei. Mijn penseelstreken vertalen zich naar golvende contouren, gelaagde texturen en organische structuren die zweven tussen droom en werkelijkheid. Geïnspireerd door wolken laat ik het materiaal vrij bewegen, zodat elk object een eigen karakter ontwikkelt, gevormd door intuïtie en experiment. Door keramiek als een verlengde van mijn schilderijen te zien, onderzoek ik hoe vorm, kleur en textuur zich in verschillende dimensies kunnen manifesteren—hoe iets vluchtigs als een penseelstreek tastbaar kan worden.

**Synesthetic Research** - Through minimizing my work to simplistic shapes and choosing one color at a time I researched the emotional and mental effect of specific colors on the human sphere.
