My practice blends melancholy with a spoonful of humor and a pinch of absurdity—creating a sweet and sour experience served through videos, music, performance, sculpture, and edible art. Through these media, I reflect on the tension between desire and reality that drives my work. A significant part of what I do involves 3D animations. I am fascinated by the deceptive qualities of CGI, which raise questions about realism and the boundaries between what is real and what is fabricated. This technique also suits my creative process, allowing me to create intimate worlds within a computer-based environment. The characters in my work long to be heard, loved, recognized, accepted, and sheltered. I explore these desires by staging failed dreams: the loneliness in the search for love, the sense of hostility in places that are supposed to be “home,” and superficial forms of spirituality—always revealing raw, hidden emotions. I often work with documentary subjects, particularly my own experiences, exposing deep wounds and embellishing them with fictional devices, using comedy as a way to balance the darkness. The comedic elements, much like fantasy, make these challenging aspects of reality more bearable. Over the years, particularly since migrating to the Netherlands six years ago, my existential themes have evolved into more socio-political topics. These now include the limitations and compromises of an atomized life, shaped by labor struggles and the housing crisis. Ultimately, my work speaks to those longing to belong and serves as a tool for connection and communal healing. I aim to create a bridge that, while aware of its inability to span the gap between fantasy and reality, provides a space where contradictions can coexist with both lightness and depth.

Airing Up The Dirty Dishes In Public
Airing Up The Dirty Dishes In Public - Video Installation, 10 minutes. Martha's and Ariela's kitchens by Flora Reznik I'm thinking about the first time I saw Martha Rosler's Semiotics of the Kitchen (1975). How it hit me. How it made me see the world differently. She spelled it out for me, only to leave the question hanging open. Arms raised toward some absent god: whyyyy??? Why what? Well... why patriarchy, and not feminism? That's the question. Why do gender roles exist? Is gender a performance? Can we perform otherwise? This piece is old. Yet her work is as relevant today as it was revolutionary. How many years ago? Sixty-one years ago. Ariela's kitchen made me think of Martha's. I haven't asked her whether there's a deliberate reference in her Kitchen Manifesto, but I sense there is. She doesn't put herself in the video; her body is absent. We only see her way of framing things, her way of looking, and some animated text on screen. It could have been made by a man. Only it wasn't. Ariela's video resonates with Martha's not just because it's set in a kitchen, but because of its sharp, hilarious humor. A dish-washing glove raises several different fingers to point at the camarades: unseen housemates who may march at feminist demonstrations and chant leftist slogans, but who, back at home, won't lift a finger to do the dishes. It's willful neglect of the people around them, an insidious sexism far more common in men living with women they can quietly rely on to do the cleaning. Ariela's work also resonates with Martha's in this regard: context seeps into both kitchens, and changes what they mean. What has shifted is the context itself. Martha's boomer kitchen is one that nowadays only a few can dare to dream of: picture the perfectly appointed suburban house (most likely owned by the husband). Ariela's kitchen, by contrast, is clearly a space rented by a rotating cast of people, some settled, some just passing through. She, in fact, is only living there for a couple of months as an artist in residency, doing research on the notion of ‘homelessness’, after losing her rented flat. The housing crisis becomes tangible in the life of the artist; precarity is a given. While Ariela complains/resists/laughs-so-she-won't-cry about her housemates' carelessness of the shared space, there's a backdrop so ubiquitous it barely needs naming: most people can't afford to buy, and many can't even afford to rent somewhere for themselves or to share with whoever they'd choose to live with. Instead, they're stuck with dirty freeloaders. And mice. It's depressing. But Ariela’s work refuses to be only a complaint, all the while managing to make us laugh. The housing crisis isn't going anywhere. In a context where the precarity of everyday life is a shared experience, there is an opportunity to gain awareness. Beneath the humor there is a genuine proposition: that the way we treat a shared kitchen is the way we treat each other. It is a case for care as a political act, a slogan so old there are people who have been carrying it on signs since before Ariela was born. I can't believe we still have to protest this shit. And yet here we are, rubber gloves raised, still pointing fingers and proposing some basic decency, for a change.

The laptop is purring on my lap and I am lonely like a cat
The laptop is purring on my lap and I am lonely like a cat - Video, 3 minutes. A tragicomic digital masturbation orgy where the artist's body merges with computer-generated fragments. The piece explores the loneliness and estrangement of a life mediated by screens: corrupted files, accumulated dust, and broken digital memories accompany a solitary, almost ghostly desire. The fusion of flesh and CGI becomes a metaphor for the blurred boundary between reality and virtuality, exposing the emotional vulnerability that pulses beneath technology‑mediated pleasure.

Does The Sun Shine in Argentina? (work in progress)
Does The Sun Shine in Argentina? (work in progress) - Does the Sun Shine in Argentina? is a 3D animated short musical film that transforms the letters of Cristina, an Argentine woman in exile, into a journey of music, memory, and emotion. Discovered decades later by her niece, these letters reveal the story of a woman who left Argentina searching for freedom and recognition, yet never stopped longing for home. Told through animated objects instead of people - echoing a childhood wound - the film gives voice to a life once silenced by distance. Each song captures a moment in Cristina’s journey through Chile, Brazil, and France, from the 1960s to the 1990s. Blending playful visuals with deep emotional resonance, this intimate tribute explores what it means to be far from home, and how stories survive across time. This is my most ambitious project so far. In it I bring everything that builds both my quirky persona and my corpus of work to the table: I tell a family story based on an archive, mixing sadness and humour, with the use of 3D animation and narration through singing. These are all passions and skills I have embraced in my path as an artist and now, this project allows me to bring them all together. The story of my aunt is the story of a complex, vulnerable woman whose experience mirrors the struggles of many women. It resonates deeply with mine: as an artist, as a woman, and as a migrant.

The house that inhabits you
The house that inhabits you - The house that inhabits you is a series of performances, an ongoing investigation in which I propose an inversion of terms: if you cannot find a house to live in, let the house live inside you by eating house-shaped cookies. I brought this project to Klankschool, Art Rotterdam, Bar O.M.I. and B.A.D. Foundation. When possible, I invite the audience to "decorate" the houses with me, creating there efimerous pieces of edible art to fight the housing crisis. The performance is often accompained by reflections on my own experiences with accommodation in the Netherlands: "Welcome! You will live in the student house of Summer, There are, therefore, rules prepared, - Ensure that - You have to - You may only - You are not allowed - You are not - You must - You are not - You can't - You can't - You are not - You must open - You should first - You must always - Do not leave - Do not dispose - You must not cause - You are not allowed - Are you not - You are not - You must clean - Shower not - You must make - You should not - You can't smoke. - you are not - You can't play - you can’t have - You are not - Do not place - You take care - You should not - Are you not - You are not" "My contract said my deposit would be returned no later than six weeks after I left the house. But six months later, I was still waiting. So I hired a money collecting company. Six weeks after that, as my anxiety grew and the company was doing nothing to advance with the case, I checked the money collecting company reviews and couldn’t reach any conclusion other than that they were scammers. I had signed a tricky contract with them too. I hired a subsidized lawyer to get rid of the money collecting company. But by then I was having some trust issues and I didn’t want to pay the lawyer until we actually met. My lawyer responded by threatening to sue me. I ended up paying and a week later, he invited me to a meeting. His office turned out to be a family house that had never been remodeled for its new purpose. His desk was in the kitchen. Where pasta and sugar had once sat, all the legal files were crammed into kitchen cabinets decorated with tiny flowers. "

This time, we worked around the theme of Garden. From the mythic Garden of Eden to the realities of pesticides and urban green corners. We use a collective folder here to borrow and share video and audio materials. Wrong Order - A Happening

This open-ended work slips against the “smooth city” ideal - those urban environments engineered for seamless efficiency, where every function works without friction and life runs on schedule all the time. That polished perfection is seductive but false; it hides t; it hides the instability, struggle, and inequality that underpin city life. In reality, things break, people stumble, systems fail. And in those moments of failure, real human connection - and sometimes resistance - can surface.
