There is a point at which an image loses directive shape, being clearly one thing over the other, being either digital, made by hand, figurative, relatable, readable. It is at this point where my interests lay when working visually. As an artist, printmaker and designer, I research visual languages through a layered and material approach. A process in which intuition and sensation are leading. In the digital generation of images – the selection, the composition, the endless possibilities, and the possibility to refrain – a natural language is created for an organic composition, and a closeness to a digital language that is more natural and intuitive.

I am always surprised by the endless possibilities that an image, a form, a structure, contains, and how directive – how logical – an image is, even if it is not completely readable. In my artistic practice I combine digital imagery with different techniques, such as screen printing, airbrush, laser cutting, crayons, and increasingly 3D and spatial elements such as ceramics and acrylic, to research materiality and the limits of materiality. The result is a visual language that is not immediately understandable, that has no clear source or origin, but that feels nonetheless as if it has grown somewhere.
