Cengiz Mengüç is a graphic designer and artist from Apeldoorn currently living and working in Rotterdam. His practice spans commissioned and self initiated projects across different scales, contexts and printed formats. He combines his design work with an active visual research and archiving practice, exploring how informal, ephemeral and vernacular design is shaped and reproduced outside of the conventional frames of graphic design. Over the years this has resulted in an output of print- and installation-based work, publications, zines and cultural programming.
Cengiz exhibited work at Art Rotterdam XL, Framer Framed, Gemaal op Zuid, Metro54, OMI, Seoul Mediacity Biennale, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and published via Onomatopee, PrintRoom and Everyday Technology Press.

Smoothie Report
During a guided walk, Cengiz Mengüç leads visitors past his interventions and invites them to construct alternative slogans together – encouraging a deeper examination of the structured language of the city and potentialities for subversion.
His project, ‘Smoothie Report,’ collects texts from real estate, city marketing, hospitality, and retail advertisements he encounters in the urban landscape, and re-composes them as poetic slogans. These slogans are then reintroduced into the cityscape
