Charlotte Bartels

My name is Charlotte Bartels and I am a visual artist. I make paintings, murals, visuals and work with different mediums. Currently I am working a lot with textile. As an autonomous artist I spend a lot of time developing and learning new technique to constantly renew and rediscover myself. Because of my versatility as a creative person, I try as an artist, not to be capturing one specific style. The style and medium that i use always is linked to the current inspiration and projects I am working on. The series and collections that follow from this have their own unique theme have been formed during my creative process. Because of this diversity in my art I have the possibility to coordinate which style I think fits the relevant exhibition or the event in which I participate.

At the moment the theme's I am mostly focused on are, grief, self soothing and touch. For me this directly correlates to textile.
