Tests on Previsualisation. Tests on Dredging. Tests on Floaters
Tests on Previsualization. Tests on Dredging. Tests on Floaters. at Leicester's Two Queens gallery presented a series of intimate and delicate works focused on the human mind and body's internal operations. Writing Room Residency
You'll Soon Know
Using the social and literary devices of gossip, anecdotes and jokes, play with tempo, pace, volume, and tone to test the limits of expectation of speech, the residency focused on the economy of exchanging speech acts, provides opportunities to both lead and be guided through shared knowledge and its expression. Using each other as sounding-boards, we experimented with language games, writing exercises and different modes of scripted and improvised delivery to produce new work.
Guest Lecturer
For the duration of the residency the studio was used as a working space to conduct interviews and conversations through unpacking the ridiculousness of particular phrasing and words and their etymologies within the English language. The residency culminated in the production and presentation of a short risograph publication and public discussion together with Andrea Francke
Access As Idiot Distraction
Produced from a body of research into the Principality of Sealand, a Sovereign micronation with a complex history of war and data storage, located in international waters between England and the Netherlands. Employing digital model-making techniques commonly used in architectural processes and gaming industries, fragments of unsuccessful attempts to gain physical access to the site, the works present an abstracted prototype for an isolated and appropriated ruin.
Critical Writing Residency, 12 Hour Symposium
12-Hour Jamming Symposium was a platform for discursive interrogations and speculations on the phenomena of collaboration and the ideas, artworks and writings constituting Studio Jamming: Artists' Collaborations in Scotland at Cooper Gallery. The Jamming Symposium constructed a collaborative public 'site' to present the propositions, positions, exchanges and Declarations illuminating an expanded notion of collaboration.
