Delphine Lejeune is a visual designer and material researcher working experimentally across 2D and 3D printed surfaces. Her curiosities lie within designed objects, and how they critically shape our social behaviors. Her source material is often found, digital images that she extrapolates into objects through layers of reformatting, delineating the boundaries between digital and physical representation

Blossoming Decay
Blossoming Decay - In a world where beauty and ruin entwine, two flowers stand as silent witnesses to the inevitable dance of creation and decay. Their petals, once pristine, are now tinged with the delicate fingerprints of time, curling inward like secrets whispered to the wind. Sculpted with an exquisite attention to texture and movement, these flowers are neither fully alive nor entirely dead, rather, they exist in the fragile space between, where transformation unfolds. Textures ripple across their forms, capturing both the organic and the unnatural, the wild and the restrained. The interplay of smoothness and corrosion, of delicate veins and jagged tears, mirrors the natural world’s ability to mend even as it breaks. Through these sculptures, decay is not an ending, but an evolution. It is the testament of movement, of the ceaseless passage of time that leaves its mark on all living things. Here, beauty does not reside in perfection, but in the honest embrace of imperfection. In the cracks and frayed edges, there is a quiet kind of resilience, a reminder that even in decay, there is artistry, there is poetry, there is life. These sculptures stand as monuments to nature’s paradoxes, frozen in time yet ever-shifting in meaning, asking us to witness, to feel, and to recognize the beauty that lingers in what is left behind.
Blossoming Gardens
Blossoming Gardens - ‘What would our relationship with a reconstructed Nature be like?’ By using digital tools I dived into our relationship with the physical world. The project explores how the identity of man could lie hidden in nature, becoming a tool for self-reflection. ‘Blossoming Garden’ is a series of mirrors reflecting on our often superficial and unbalanced relationship with our natural surroundings. By encountering our own image through this staged nature, it becomes an invitation to rethink how we relate to our surroundings, training the gaze to practise a new kind of mentality.
Echo Botanica
Echo Botanica - Echo Botanica combines traditional ceramic techniques with digital fabrication. Inspired by natural forms, each piece is created using CNC-milled molds and hand-finishing, resulting in delicate, sculptural wall elements. The project reflects a modern approach to craft, where technology and handmade processes meet to produce refined, textured flowers that bring a sense of hyper tactility into interior spaces.
Iced Flower - The beauty of survival
Iced Flower - The beauty of survival - “Iced Flower - The beauty of survival” is an interpretation of the territorial “Mesembryanthemum Crystallinum”, an invasive specie growing in disturbed landscapes. Using Its peculiar watery bubble skin as weapon, the iced flower will release the bubbles upon its death. These ones, leaching into the soil, result in a toxic environment preventing the growth of other species, allowing the colonisation of new areas with little competition.
A breath, the crumbling of fallen leaves
A breath, the crumbling of fallen leaves - In collaboration with Aiste Ambrazeviciute where microscopic imagery of decaying leaves demonstrates viral, bacterial and fungal infections and is rendered through 3D-printed objects.
Common Beliefs - Atmospheric threshold
Common Beliefs - Atmospheric threshold - There is a place in stories where the world folds—where mist hangs low beneath a flowering bush, and those who rest too long may wake elsewhere. This is the threshold: a liminal space of quiet enchantment, recurring across landscapes and lore —this installation evokes the sensation of stumbling upon something enchanted in the midst of Nature. (public installation of 2 x 4m)
Either flowers will remain
Either flowers will remain - If industrialisation has caused the disappearance of national crafts and endemic flora alike, turning to the fragility of nature and craft in the digital age has an innovative potential. The revival of the lace making through 3D printing, explores the shifting relation between representation and ornamentation as a means of capturing the gaze. ’Either flowers will remain’ is a series of floral portraits, depicting endangered European plants crafted as computer textiles following principles of the traditional manufacture of the craft. Appropriating the mannerisms of traditional lace in the process of digital image-making implies the recognition of a dynamic heritage.
Evergreen
Evergreen - Publication in collaboration with 19th historical researcher Goda Gasiūnaitė. An intimate journey into a garden of remembrance. Exploring the process of emancipation by the representation of interactions between women and Nature in a living tradition.
Through the Social Life of the Sea-Shell
Through the Social Life of the Sea-Shell - Looking at nature is a critical moment of self discovery. The sea-shell has historically been part of this practice, which now hides behind the banality of its displaced context as souvenir. This journey to re-evaluate the sea-shell through the practices of observing, collecting, describing, classifying, and manipulating a visual digital archive to reclaim its condition, first as a natural object, as a speculative object that has been central to mythic and scientific fascination, and as the unit of a wide constellation of value circulation. Through design research, it aims to salvage the inner world of coquillage. Texts by Esteban Gómez-Rosselli

Bluet Flower
Bluet Flower - In collaboration with Clara Schweers and Kurina Sohn. The delicate flower seeks the beauty and resilience inherent in the coalescence of natural and digital landscapes. The flower join the 3D-printed stems and flowers ensemble, creating a dynamic symbiosis with flame worked glass. This intentional combination of materials and techniques aims to transcend the tangible and digital boundaries, mirroring the delicate balance between nature and technology.

Affin Sp.001-002
Affin Sp.001-002 - In collaboration with Clara Schweers and Kurina Sohn In a mesmerising interaction between the familiar and the remarkable, the “affin” collection showcases mesmerising visual representations of ethereal flowers. Flourishing 3D-printed petals and leaves emerge from clear and fluid fused borosilicate glass stems. Their simulated glass blooms are amalgamations of structure and substance. Emerging from digital landscapes, these pieces create a narrative that is strikingly surreal in its purity.
BTT/R/UE
BTT/R/UE - In collaboration with Clara Schweers and Kurina Sohn, Inspired by the three-tier metal rated table from the repository of the Lithuanian National Museum of Arts as its reference, the reimagined side table is composed of three-layer gardens reminiscent of one of Lithuania’s national plant, the “rue”. Visually picking its flowers from its leaves, the authors reassemble the rue into a mixture of three materialities: aluminium shapes, glass and 3d printed elements.

"It Never GetsOld" brings together artist Mia Tamme(EST) and designerDelphine Lejeune (BE to explore the intersection of gender dynamics, socio-economic realities, and aesthetics in lace crafts. By juxtaposing traditional techniques with innovative approaches, t h eexhibition encourages fresh perspectives on the relationship between craft, community, a n dcontemporary life. It invites visitors to reconsider
the role of lace in reflecting social change and the evolving natureof craftsmanship.
