Dennis Muñoz Espadiña is an artist living and working in Rotterdam since 2018, The Netherlands. His artistic practice expands from publishing and performances towards installation works. Since 2022 he's running his publishing house ( Hocus Bogus Publishing) from the bowls of the Rotterdam art space Roodkapje . Here he gives workshops and mentor ships to artists and others who want to learn about Riso stencil printing.

The Bergen Art Book Bath at Nordnes Sjøbad! Welcome to the wettest book experience you've ever had (?)! We are hosting book launches in the sauna, by the pool and in the pool. Good vibes and a small Norwegian snack will be available! Bring towel and bathing suit, but if you want to attend and not swim, this is absolutely OK (although sauna readings require bathing suit)
Smudged Soil
Kicking off the 2022 Hamburger Community Residency program, artist Dennis Muñoz Espadiña has led the new residents through a month-long-get-your-hands-dirty program to explore the materiality, performability and smudginess of RISO printing and small press publishing. Drawing inspiration from Helena Grande’s poetry pamphlet Night Soil, as well as the street-walk rubbings of artist Sari Dienes, the mentorship of Muñoz Espadiña has taken an unorthodox approach to the usual pre-press approach.
Young and Promising
Although often associated with sculpture, spatial work has resulted in many different works of art in recent years, crossing the border between the physical and digital as well. In Young and Promising: Making Room for Talent, the versatility of the art form is clearly visible. For example, the museum visitor encounters a digitally walkable forest, a bathtub made of straw and Mondrian's apple tree translated into black metal. Prospects
The Mondriaan Fund organizes the Prospects exhibition annually to give an extra boost to the visibility of up-and-coming artists. Because of its proximity to Art Rotterdam, art professionals and collectors, as well as a broad group of interested people, can learn about the work of this promising artist.
Time takes Time
Time Takes Time was a momentum around paper & words with a focus on the processes, materiality, touch and smell of prints, letters, inks and stained fingers. Time Takes Time connected Greek and international artists and designers for a moment of co-creation within various workshops and print studios around the city of Athens. It took place within strong local-global interconnections and sought to weave between them a relationship and a possibility for tuning-in.
Cabaret Voltaire
During Manifesta 11, Cabaret Voltaire will be transformed into a guildhall for artists called Cabaret der Künstler – Zunfthaus Voltaire. It is inspired by traditional guilds, where likeminded people collectively represent their profession. The Cabaret der Künstler – Zunfthaus Voltaire will be home to the newly founded Guild of Artists.
