Soon! Workshop: publishing in public - Join a poster printing workshop on 8th or 26th of October 2025 at Garage Rotterdam about ownership and reclaiming public space. In the workshop you will use (analog) printing techniques to make large images with A4’s. By blowing up, scanning & frottage you will enlarge images, make a d.i.y. glue recipe and collectively stick it in and around Garage Rotterdam. With soup! What to bring? Potato press at PPP in W139 - On 29 May 2025 mul-thee-fuhngk-shuh-nl opened with PotatoPress the doors of its editorial room to all curious, wandering, and ambitious potato journalists to contribute to the PPPotato newspaper! You could come peel a potato to reveal its hidden layers, dig deep in the earth for its roots, expose its versatility, become the paparazzi of potatoes, bring out the latest (fake) news, or contribute to the entertainment section. In the editorial room, we explored the politics of the potato together. Using different perspectives, personal knowledge, field research, and (reliable) sources, we reflected on the role of the potato in our society, the global economy, our common thinking, different ideologies and strong opinions. What does the potato have to tell us? How can the potato nurture our ideas about the politics of being together and interacting with each other? We’ll also dive deep into our primal Dutch frying culture and the snackbar as a meeting place. What is the role of the snackbar in today’s times? The newspaper was distributed in local snackbars of the neighbourhood of P139.

evri-dee-tee-vee at underdeveloped #2 - In underdeveloped #2 at Garage Rotterdam (2025) mul-thee-fuhngk-shuh-nl showed a video platform for artists – including themselves – to present video works which you can watch from the kitchen in the exhibition space. Alongside the video platform, we printed conversations between each other talking about cleaning in a collective space in relation to the exhibition on a special material: yellow dishcloths – not just to read from, but also to clean with.
Fries forever at Frieda
Fries forever at Frieda - With mul-thee-fuhngk-shuh-nl we gave the workshop ‘Fries Forever' on March 2025, in which we made ceramic fries in snackbar Frieda*****. During the claying we spoke about ownership of (public) space, reclaiming (public) space and creating new space to meet. Parts of these conversations were written in the fresh clayed fries with vermicelli letters, leaving an imprint behind after burning the clay pieces. With the burned and glazed fries we made a public fry-route, super glueing the fries in public space around Frieda reclaiming a bit of public space. *****snackbar Frieda is a snackbar in a squat were you can snack on donation. They serve fries made from potatoes gathered after the harvest from the fields. Besides they host a cultural program.

spoiler at underdeveloped #1 - The collective 𝓂𝓊𝓁-𝓉𝒽𝑒𝑒-𝒻𝓊𝒽𝓃𝑔𝓀-𝓈𝒽𝓊𝒽-𝓃𝓁 started at Garage Rotterdam as an interactive dynamic meeting place that evolves with every interaction, inside the exhibition 'underdeveloped #1' in 2024. This project was selected for the Open Call of spoiler. You could read publications from our collections, work on a growing collective ceramic 𝓈𝑒𝓇𝓋𝒾𝑒𝓈 by making objects from clay, and enjoy tea or coffee and sometimes a workshop or happening. In the clay objects you were invited to write with vermicelli letters words or sentences from the exhibition, from your thoughts or based on whatever letters you find. During the exhibition clay pieces that are made were fired and glazed by us, and put back in the space ready to be used. Klei Kunst Route at Tarwewijk - This project is a route featuring art created by residents and visitors to the Tarwewijk neighborhood on Saturday, July 29, 2023, during a clay workshop led by Jorien Ketelaar & Floor van Meeuwen. The workshop was part of the summer program of the Alle Kunsten Thuis Markt (All Arts at Home Market) organized by the CultuurWerkplaats Tarwewijk (CWT) as part of Zomer op Zuid (Summer in the South). All the small sculptures were created in relation to the neighborhood. They were then fired and glazed at the MIX studio in Oud-Charlois. The sculptures were placed throughout the Tarwewijk neighborhood, creating a treasure hunt. All locations and titles were chosen by the artists. The temporary nature of this project is part of the route. The sculptures are difficult to find in various locations throughout the neighborhood and will disappear over time. Presented as a treasure hunt, it offers a different way of looking at the neighborhood. The route map is available free of charge at the CWT.
Sobremesa - The time spend after dinner at the table is the English translation of the spanish word "Sobremesa". Through various forms of research the project Sobremesa (2022) came in to being. 1: research on "understanding the materiality and the invisible environmental impact of self-publishing" in the thesis, 2: publishing a collection of thoughts for/how self-publishers (to) balance the struggle of publishing in the climate crisis era and 3: gathering all contemplations from the previous to create an open communal space in the shape of a dining and reading table. The end product, the table, serves as a publication itself. With traces of texts engraved on the surface. The focus in the whole project is on re-using materials. A thoughtfull sobremesa is created by emphasizing on sharing publications, all the wood collected from trash en serving leftover food.
PZI newspaper: The Piet (2021/2022) - Through PZI Archipelago, a student led initiative started in 2021 at PZI/ WdKA, I initiated a physical newspaper for current students and alumni with the sole purpose to publish, showcase and spread information along all PZI members due to the lack of institutional communication mediums.
Worm Pirate Bay: Paper A.S.M.R. on Worm Radio - Monthly radio show I host for Worm Pirate Bay on Worm Radio where I mumble about zines with guests or a strange concept.
"Yin Yang: a collection of thoughts for/how self-publishers (to) balance the struggle of publi-... - ...shing in the climate crisis era." This publication arose in 2022 from an open call I set up for questioning fellow publishers how they personally deal with their material imprint when making zines/books or other materials. With 21 contributions from various countries this publications shows a glimpse of feelings from the publishing world. The design is heavenly text densed to minimise paper for printing. Special rules are added to minimise ink use and question the impact of publishing. This publication is part of my graduation work at XPUB PZI 2022. 220 copies.

Together with Avital Barkai, Camilo Garcia A and Anna Sandri we made many different pieces, that were sculptured in all kinds of installations by visitors.

mul-thee-fuhngk-shuh-nl (2024) is a collective consisting of dynamic installations with a crossover between workshops, public space installations, and happenings through interactions with others. We are a collective with fluctuating other members: we work, depending on the context, with passers by, neighbors, visitors, friends and other artists. All our projects share a common focus on engaging with the environment and fostering exchanges with a diverse audience, interaction and locality.

This project is a collab between Jorien Ketelaar, Laureen Langkamp and Floor van Meeuwen who, by means of their own publications on the reading table, dynamic installations and workshops in the laundrette, have created a temporary platform for everyone in the neighbourhood without and with a washing machine to come and do their laundry. Through local wifi-infrastructure, ironing meditations, an eco-laundry programme and interactive furnishing, the waiting time becomes a full on experience.
