In my practice I focus on finding enchantment in everyday life. My phone gallery consists of things I see while walking on the street. Things that fascinate me like ceramics behind windows, working gloves, advertisements, concrete barriers, Michelin man figures on top of trucks, trash, objects left on the street, etc. These objects accidentally create fascinating compositions which I copiy and reuse to make assemblages that tell a completely new story. By doing this I creates a portrait of our time and contemporary artefacts, combined with my personal life. My work makes viewers think about the life of the objects that surround us and rethink the anthropocentric world we live in and the traces we, consciously or unconsciously, leave behind.
After working as a garbage man for 1,5 year after graduation I developed a project about my experiences as a garbage man, this has developed to a bigger project in which I research labour and industriality in different settings, I also attempt to connect this with my family's labour history and generational trauma. This is currently an ongoing project.
