I am a visual artist based in Rotterdam. My practice explores themes of identity, movement and transformation through painting, textile, and art direction.
Working primarily with painting, I engage with the material as a space of becoming, where forms shift and unfold over time. Composition develops through the act of making itself, as gestures, materials, and spatial relationships guide the work forward rather than an imposed image.

Layers, textures, and lines carry a sense of lived experience, allowing identity to emerge as fluid and in transition rather than fixed. Textile expands my exploration into softness, using recovered materials to explore form and rhythm. Across mediums, I observe how colour, material, and form interact, allowing space for experimentation and a sense of play. Form arrives through the process, carrying traces of its own making.

On The Pulse of Morning
On The Pulse of Morning - This site-specific fashion performance is a collaboration between the Limbo Museum, costume designers Dr. Fabiola Opare-Darko and Sackitey Tesa, and artists Johanna Adjoa and Larissa de Jager. Inspired by Maya Angelou's equally named poem, the performance explores the interplay between discarded clothes and discarded space, this project explores rejuvenation and renewal. The performers wear costumes crafted from recycled materials transforming them into unique characters shifting into unapologeticness.
Mpoano
Mpoano - For this project, I painted a 6-metre wide mural that explores Ghanaian coastal life and fishing culture. In this commissioned artwork, I aimed to portray the daily rhythms of fishing communities through the energy of the people who make their living from the sea, textures surrounding the shoreline, and a fishing boat. Through color, composition, and detail, I sought to bring the spirit of Ghanaian coastal life into the restaurant, creating an immersive experience for visitors that celebrates both tradition and everyday life.
Fleeting moments
Fleeting moments - In this series of works on paper I reflect on the quiet stillness of the body, its posture, and the solitude found in simple, everyday moments. Each piece invites a deeper look at how the body holds emotions and presence in unspoken ways. These works seek to capture the subtle beauty in fleeting moments where time softens, and the connection between self and space becomes a quiet, intimate conversation.
