At a time when both the world and our films are focused on logic, functionality and entertainment, I am searching for a way of seeing that steps back from our human-centered perspective. I am drawn to the magic of non-human landscapes, textures and movements, and try to stretch the boundaries of our anthropocentric thinking through film. By slowing down perception and allowing space for ambiguity, I create films that invite the viewer to reconsider their relationship to the world around them.
I strongly believe in the expressive power of image, sound and editing. Rather than relying primarily on dialogue or narration, I see cinema as a medium that operates beyond logic, that allows intuition, perception and poetic connections to find meaning. I am interested in creating immersive and sensory experiences that arise from associations, atmosphere and the inner rhythm of the images.
