Joost Halbertsma (NL 1984) is an Illustrator, artist, exhibition designer and underground comix publisher. He works from his studio in Rotterdam. Moving freely between drawing, sculpture, print, cartoons, illustration and design. He makes woodblock prints, does editorial illustrations for newspapers, designed and curated exhibitions for museums, made cardboard altars for a church, illustrated trash metal LP's, gives lectures on obscure comic book artists, made a library out of copied obscure comics and publishes a 64 page mega-zine. Always being curious and moving freely in different places, scenes and media. Always with detailed precision, a good dose of humour and DIY spirit.
