Joost Halbertsma (NL 1984) is an Illustrator, analog printmaker, exhibition designer and underground comix publisher. He works from his studio in Rotterdam or from grafic workshops or make-shift studios in Mexico. He makes woodblock- and linocut prints, stamps, editorial illustrations for newspapers, designed and curated exhibitions for museums, made cardboard altars for a church, illustrated trash metal LP's, gives lectures on obscure comic book artists, made a library out of copied obscure comics and publishes a 64 page mega-zine. Always being curious and moving freely in different places, scenes and media. Always with detailed precision, a good dose of humour and DIY spirit.
