I am a trans-fem moving image maker merging aesthetic, cinematic and technological forms to explore the present and historical realities of (and in collaboration with) marginalized groups and individuals. Having worked extensively as a cinematographer for years on documentary projects and artist films, I have honed classical storytelling and story structure skills, as well as camera operating; it is with these tools that I approach topics of queer and otherwise marginal realities, often with an intense focus on both somatic and spiritual effects of the personal and political. To further achieve this, I also experiment with technology, queering the tools I use, applying hardware and/ or software incorrectly, corrupting or rewiring them to expose artifacts and aberrations as a way to create ultra-subjective depictions of the personal/political realities of my characters or subjects.

Song for the Cosmos
Song for the Cosmos - Cinematographer and creative producer. "On the wind-carved isle of Unst, where 600 people live, a privately owned spaceport is setting up for 30 launches per year. This experimental documentary tells a story of the local community as the tide turns against an industry indifferent to their needs." This short artist film directed by Edwin Mingard and Geo Barcan is supported by Film Fonds, Mondriaan fonds and produced by GROM producties Amsterdam.
Fragment Zone
Fragment Zone - Writer, director, producer "In 2012, an absurd conspiracy theory, incubated online in hazy 4chan message boards, later goes on to infect mainstream newspapers and take root in the global psyche. On December 21st, a meteor would hit Earth and wipe out all electronics, and fry the brains of all the homosexuals on the planet. Or at least, that is what Phoebe is told by her best friend, Shelly, at school, in the sleepy seaside town of Skegness, England. She is 12 years old and is usually only interested in two things: Shelly, and a video game called Fragment Zone - a sci-fi life simulation game where any dream scenario can be built with red and blue polygons." This short artist film which is currently being actively developed is shot by Ruben Hamelink, and supported by BAK, basecamp for tactical imaginaries, Sattelite films, London and Chisenhale Studios, London.
One Mind at a Time
One Mind at a Time - Cinematographer. "A filmmaker is contacted by a whistleblower named “Q” - an elderly Polish woman claiming to have secret tapes documenting biological, medical and cognitive experiments carried on men between 50s and 80s in Poland. The experiments were designed to eliminate male patriarchal thinking from within - “one mind at a time”. As the filmmaker investigates the authenticity of the materials, Q disappears." This short film was directed by Natalia Sliwowska.
Software ideology
Software ideology - Cinematographer and creative producer "In a technofascist world, tech companies have proven to be more powerful than nation-states. In this short film and video installation we are taken on a ride through an unnamed place entirely governed by tech conglomerates, where programmers are the new priests. At the center of these powers is a data processing high tower that never turns off. Its operations remain unknown to many, while the narrator aims to reveal its veiled inner mechanics. How do the ideologies of big tech shape not just software, but entire social structures? What sort of borders are being amplified and who gets to be on which side? In which ways can this system be hacked?" This short artist film is directed by Geo Barcan.
