Breath/Fist 2022 - As Performed live in Casino Luxembourg, invited by Anastasia Chaguidouline: For the concept ‘Sound Without Music’ I composed an audio-visual performance centred around breathing. Combining audio-recordings and loops of sounds derived from my mouth with distortion and modulation, the intention was to confront the audience with the sensation of "silence in suffocation", performing texts reminiscent of silent memories and hauntologies of my own femme sexuality.
Deceased in Rotterdam EP 2021 - Debut EP: Titled after her place of birth, Deceased in Rotterdam provides autobiographical catharsis and grievance towards Acidic Male's past selves. Including extracted sounds from early childhood VHS home-tapes, field recordings and pubescent yells of rage, the viewer is left with sounds depicting the artist’s remains of physicality. The songs are written in a state of isolated self-reflection and through mourning over the past of her growing female body, seeking calmness in ageing yet fearing her own decomposition.hi-anxiety 2017Succumb 2019An Inflamed Appeal (all the world may not love a lover) 2019 - video, colour 21mLive Audiovisual Performance @ EMST Athens 2024Ongoing collaboration with Jelmer Noordeman 2023-present - Ongoing collaboration since with visual artist Jelmer Noordeman wherein I provide the sound. At points the sound links to the analogue visuals, for example when a drum hits, or when I speak. At times the visuals are an input to a synthesizer, of which the sound takes over at multiple times during the performance. In the video we worked together on a short film for Klankvorm in 2024, wherein I had an ultrasound made for the visuals and composed sounds derived from the human body only.
