Rising Lai is an artistic researcher and critical designer who uncovers the stories behind objects. From industrial products to cultural artefacts, Rising explores the complexity of human creation and communicatively curates these narratives. Through design, their works research, contextualise, and speculate on the relationships among society, individuals, and material culture. Rising was born and raised in Taiwan and is now developing their work in Belgium and the Netherlands. Their work takes the form of objects, installations, exhibitions, videos, and writings.
