EASE SCULPTURE - EASE SCULPTURE — inflatable sculpture, recycled plastic, 3.40m X 8.12m X 60cm. While Sheray Of Light reflected on the feeling of resistance, the feeling of having a big wall surrounding her, she asked herself: 'What am I protecting?' By unpacking this and changing her perspective on it, the wall became lighter, the wall became transparent. Instead of seeing resistance as something to fight against she now sees it as a compassionate wall that’s lovingly guiding her towards her most truthful and authentic path. Each time she resists this assistance she feels the wall behind her, indicating the other direction. But when she just follows, trusts and allows to be embraced she can ease into it and ease into her being.

DUUR•ZAAM•HEID Hoe hebben we tijd samen? — TENT Rotterdam

Samen met Carlijn van Heusden ontwikkelde ik het cultuurtraject voor groep 7/8 en MAVO1.Tijdens deze workshops zoomden we in op sociale duurzaamheid. Want waarom zijn we zou eigenlijk duurzaam bezig? Door het woord duurzaamheid te ontleden krijg je: duur = tijd, zaam = samen, heid = hoe. Hoe hebben we tijd samen?! Op micro- en macro niveau kan een moment waardevol worden door handelingen uit te voeren met aandacht, gesprekken te voeren met aandacht en te voelen wat je voelt met aandacht.

Tijdens de groepstentoonstelling MINIM.AAL toonde ik Clarity Bag, 60cm x 45cm x 11cm, gemaakt van recycled plastic. Concept: See it all. Neutrally, where you sense the overview around and in. Able to melt in deep tissue, to ride the empty-space-glide between thoughts, to be aware of the warmth that's constantly caressing you. And not cling to any of it. Clarity overall. All at once.

EASE SCULPTURE — The New Current

Tijdens Rotterdam Art Week organiseerde The New Current een tentoonstelling in een oud kantoorpand. Zij zijn een platform voor jong getalenteerde kunstenaars die de kunstwereld openen voor de nieuwe generatie. Speciaal voor de locatie heb ik een kortere en kleinere versie van EASE SCULPTURE gemaakt en tentoongesteld.

SWEET SEQUENCE

In dit project ging ik op onderzoek uit naar hoe ik zo gracieus mogelijk door strakke lijnen/regels/girds heen door het leven kon bewegen. Het maken van eigen richtlijnen, een eigen volgorde en herinneringen om mijn hart te blijven volgen.

SWEET SEQUENCE bestaat uit: EASE SCULPTURE, EXPANSION SKIRT en ENCOURAGEMENT PURSE.
