Art Office introduces the Impulse and Floor scheme (formerly Research and Development). By revising the scheme, we expect to be able to award 40% more artists.
CBK Rotterdam director Ove Lucas explains: “After almost 15 years of R&D, we received various signals from artists that this arrangement was no longer fully in line with many artists' practices that have changed over that time. CBK Rotterdam naturally tries to stay as close to this as possible, which is also the basis of the Practice Contribution scheme. With the new style R&D in the form of the Impulse en Verdieping scheme, we believe we can help a larger group of Rotterdam visual artists to strengthen their professional practice.”
The Impulse and Deepening Scheme (I&V) supports an in-depth activity or an innovative impulse within the artistic practice of Rotterdam artists in the form of compensation for time that can be worked on in a defined period. The maximum contribution is €7.500.
The deadline for I&V round 1 is March 25, 2024 at 11.00 a.m. Applications are possible from Monday 4 March via the Art Office website.
