Especially for Poetry International Rotterdam, artist Marieke van der Lippe will create a monumental video work with poets Anne Vegter (Netherlands) and Ishmail Kamara (Sierra Leone) and visitors to the Pauluskerk. The work is based on the notion of theologian Dorothee Sölle that the ability to wonder is linked to the awareness of injustice.

During the three evenings of the festival, from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 June between 19.30 and 00.00, the work will be shown in the festival hangout: the new Buitenkiosk aan de Maas by Verhalenhuis Belvédère.

Filmmaker and visual artist Marieke van der Lippe has been photographing sunsets by the sea for years now. In always being in the same place at the same time, in this 'Being in Twilight, you stand with your back to hectic and experience the grand infinity.
