At the center of my practice is drawing. Fast, emotional and impulsive. My sketchbooks are messy and humorous, and act as a slightly absurd visual diary. Life is bubbling up around me and my practice acts as a way to pin down moments, feelings and stories that I might otherwise forget. I use it to make sense of grief, family dynamics, love, breakups, traveling and the feeling of existing in a female body. Aside from drawing I love to experiment and tell stories through different mediums, such as painting, ceramics, audio, video, metal and wood.
Exhibition : A fly On The Wall
‘A Fly on the wall’ was a self organised group exhibition and part time Knutselclub at Old House during Rotterdam Art week. The show featured works by Robin Van Leijsen, Fleur Flipse, Lorena Rode, Juliette Geissler and myself.
My contribution, Pick Pick Picking! was a large drawing that uses scabs to symbolise those self destructive habits we know don't serve us but keep falling into. It just feels so good to Pick Pick PICK!!
