design - muurschildering - schilderen - tekenen - digitaal

For the last couple of years I have mainly been working with pixels and paint. But I always felt like I missed an extra dimension, a physical layer or something. So about a year ago I asked myself the question; how can I bring my work to life, make it less static? How can I involve the public as well as its context?
So I started experimenting with materials with different surfaces; mirror, metallic, glossy, etc.
Because of the variation in reflections, the artwork’s appearance depends on your point of view, your own reflection, and the specific surroundings at that moment. No two persons, looking at the same object at the same time, will have the same experience, just like real life.

True Colors | Soulmates - We project our own personal truth on the world around us, and thus our subjective perceptions color our external reality. Consisting out of multiple mirrored parts, these artworks will look different to everybody. Your own reflection, your point of view and the specific surroundings at that moment, make up a large part of the artwork’s appearance. No two persons, looking at the same object at the same moment, will have the exact same experience. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/lGhkGVEiLqw

Are We Safe Now - Are we safe now?
