Ana Leitão

artistic research

My artistic practice is linked to the connection between Art and Life. Meaning and
representation of objects in a contemporary context, is what I have been focusing on,
both my speech and work.

“Objects of Affection”

Residencies / exchange

  • 04-09-2023 t/m 30-09-2023
  • In collaboration with: AMRT (Associação para a Mudança e Representação Transcultural) and NOVA-School of Business and Economics
  • Location: Bairro do Talude - This is a self-built neighborhood mostly composed of families originally from Cape Verde. It has very few businesses, a restaurant, a bar, a “distillery”, and many farms created by the inhabitants. This is an impermanent territory, which is planned to be demolished in the future for urban re-planning, Lisbon
  • PLAY (THE) GROUND is a multidisciplinary residency aimed at listening and exploring situated contexts. This summer we focus on the neighborhoods of Talude and Quinta da Fonte as places of (im)permanence.
