  • In collaboration with: Thijs de Zeeuw & Kuang-Yi Ku
  • Location: Sexyland, Amsterdam
  • Making Love in the Zoo explores stories of sexuality in the environment of captivity in the Zoological garden. The zoo is a place of nostalgia and wonder, and reflects our preconceived ideas about nature, but what do stories of sexuality from the perspective of the zoo's residents tell us about our own sexuality? For this assignment, I wrote a chapter of the book based on my research on panda sexuality and presented my research during the book launch at Sexyland

In 2022 they won the annual Waag Art & Technology encouragement prize for the most promising bachelor's and master's students of the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. During this performance evening we can reflect on our media consumption, how the attention economy has a hold on us and playfully ask ourselves “to look or not to look, that is the question” through Shakespeare's famous quote.

  • Nowadays the term 'traversing' means many different things and is used in a variety of contexts. This may concern spatial and abstract constructions, but also more concrete matters such as cross-border political actions. ArtScience, as an art community, thinks multi-dimensionally through the different aspects of this concept and offers the opportunity to create trans-disciplinary knowledge.
