Anne Kolbe

I hold a Master of Fine Art from Piet Zwart Institute (Rotterdam, 2018) and a BA in Fine Art from St. Joost ('s-Hertogenbosch, 2013). My multi-disciplinary practice results in installations, sculpture, performance, video, costumes, situations, walks, sound and text, organizational work, collaborations and more.

With my body as my main tool and material, I examine ways of becoming other. I create spatial characters who are ready for the drama of life. I'll take you to an art fair where the objects themselves become the viewers, or we visit the park and merge with other life forms.

I examine the performative nature of objects, speculating and reflecting on their doings, dealings, desires and demands. Wether it's a pot plant, a doorknob or a side table's tabletop; they all resonate in many ways. In their presence, I too become an object with many echoes.
