Annejole makes modern mixed-media portraits on commission or as free work.
She makes designs on the basis of all kinds of digital images, photos and texts and then puts the portraits on canvas in a mix of print and painting.
Her work consists of 'portraits with a story'. The backgrounds of the paintings are made up of different layers of digital images, texts and scanned originals from art, history, music, literature or contemporary times. She always finds the search for the right expression and the collection of images that she brings together to tell the story the greatest challenge.
