I make socially committed paintings and drawings, in large format. My powerful, colorful work is
a catwalk of world travelers. These are no longer individuals, but totems of diversity: an exuberant fusion
of cardinal points, man and woman, folklore and fashion, rich and poor, people and animals. I zoom in on the rich weave of
cultures. Power relations, sexuality and the position of women play an important role in my work.
