The work of Dico Kruijsse can be seen as a quest to find the hidden qualities of objects, material and everyday events. He communicates his view on the world through a plurality of media. “In a society where we have to deal with a huge amount of images on a daily basis, it may seem new to be confronted with art works that do not seem to have a direct meaning. The resources that Kruijsse uses in his work are materials that not many people regard aesthetic or important, such as banana peels, free paint samples or plaster boards. ”

    • Under the same sun is an ongoing collaborative project of Carolin Lange and Dico Kruijsse. It evolves around the theme of sunlight and its relation to architecture. By approaching experimental photography as a physical and material object they analise and make visible the ways in which natural lightsituations inform our perceptions of time and space.
