My work consists of making conceptual photos. I approach subject/themes from the content in order to understand all the layers of usually complex themes. 'An unreality that becomes reality' fascinates me. I compose my photos using self-made photos of objects, and sometimes a drawing, after which I digitally place all these parts and edit the image with photo software. I prefer to work on series based on a theme. Until the end of 2010 I worked as a musician/singer-songwriter, after which an occupational disease (focal dystonia on my left hand and wrist) made it impossible for me to play an instrument. I started shooting in 2012.
